Chairman's Message to New Staff

On 1st April, Chairman, Representative Director Haruyuki Niimi delivered his message to the new staff joining the Company.

In Japan, the prolonged recession and uncertainties led us to anxieties; however, some of the business enterprises have begun to achieve their results in respective ways. Also, Showa Shell is one of these companies with the effect of the "Jump 21" on which we have been working bravely since 1996. This fact is immediately recognized in the stock market, and in view of stock price, Showa Shell is the top company in this industry sector now. We are strengthening our balance sheet position and the business process, and we are creating value with the sustainable development. In addition, the Company should have the hybrid culture with the international business process and the advanteges of Japanese style. We hope you will be able to establish yourself without any adherence to precedent or social customs but with your own concepts.
